Arizona Fun

The past week I have been having tons of fun in Mesa Arizona with Famiy and Friends! Mom and Dad, Julie and Kaulin, and I went down on the 16th for my cousin Shauna's Wedding on the 17th. The wedding was great! My first time in the Mesa Temple, it was amazing! Shauna and Josh seem so happy! Then I stayed til the 22nd and played with the cousins and my friend Shandra! She moved down there last summer and I miss her so! We had tons of fun! We went swimming and shopping- two musts when on vacation! I helped Shandra get some new stuff to decorate her new place! I love decorating! :)
The Girls-best of friends! Jason and Shandra-Cute!
So Shandra's birthday is on the 24th and Jason was so cute and gave her a gift certificate for a pedicure and manicure for her birthday. Then he gave her one for me too so we could go togther while I was visiting, it was so cute of him! We loved it! Here are our cute toes and hands-(kinda a random pic).
I love getting pampered, but I don't do it often. I enjoy pedicures, but I am tickilish, so it makes it not so relaxing. If you ever want to be entertained, just take me to get a pedicure :) The facial expressions are great. Oh and this time, they used hot river rocks to massage the legs, it was interesting, but lovely!
Charise & Shandra!
Monday night we were just chillin at Shandra's place and a strom hit ! The power went out for about a half an hour. Well the crazy girls that we are, we decided to go and run in the rain! It was so much fun! The pic above is the before picture of Shandra, Lauralie (her roommate), and me.
We ran through puddles, splashed everywhere, did cartwheels! I felt like I was 10 again- it was great! I love those carefree moments in life! We were soaked to the bone!

Shauna & Josh! Congratulations! My cousin Rachel and her little one- Jace!
My cousins: Shellee, Brielle, and Abbey, and my sister Julie! Hanging out after the luncheon.
We had some fun with the camera! Silly Faces- the kids joined in on the fun!

Advice...

Ok, so I'm a little Paranoid! Ever since I started my blog I have greatly considered making it a private blog! I don't like it easily accessible to anyone on the internet... it kind of freaks me out.. to be honest. Well, I want opinions on what you think if I should go private or not. One reason why I haven't wanted to go private is I have found so many of my friends and they have found me. One REQUEST I have for all of you before I make my decision is on the link to my blog if you will only put my first name, and not my last name, I would appreciate it greatly! My sisters decided to google me to see if they could find my blog (because of my small paranoia) and they way they found it is through other's people's blogs who have my first and last name on the link to my page. I know this may be a stupid request, but I would love it if you could do that small favor for me. I removed all last names from my side bar after I had thought about this more.... and I guess if I made it a private blog it would solve the whole issue, but I'm not sure if I want to quite yet... it will be in the future :) Thanks for listening and I would love feedback!

2 trips in 10 days...

San Deigo, California

3 of my 4 summer classes are finished! Yipee! A bunch of our friends had a big pool party last week to celebrate most of my stress being gone! :) Then I went on my first road trip of the summer. Everyone has asked me where I was planning on going this summer (because I am known for my world travels) and I would respond: homework! :( But my friend Amy wanted to go to San Diego for the 4th of July, so we planned a simple fun road trip (keep it cheap!) We stayed at her aunts house in Oceanside and just relaxed and had fun! We went to the beach on the 4th to see the fireworks (which her aunt said we were crazy because it is so crowded-but Amy wanted to go since that is what she did when she was little-fireworks on the beach). So we went to the beach for the day and went boogie boarding and then hung out by the pier until the fireworks. About a half an hour before the fireworks started, a thick thick fog set in! We didn't even get to see the fireworks, we couldn't even see the end of the pier, it was sad. I was sad for Amy because that is what she wanted to see! But we heard them really good! :) (not quite the same). I guess I'll have to see fireworks on the 24th of July. We went snorkeling in La Jolla, to Balboa park, and to Knotts Berry Farm. I love roller coasters! They are the best! We didn't even have to wait in lines, I loved it! We went to the San Diego Temple before we came home , it was awesome! I'll stop babbling now! I have a few other small trips planned in the next 2 weeks, so I'll update you later!

Amy and I at the pool party- we love playing pool ball!
Oceanside beach! Crazy lots of people! We were further down when we swam, this is by the pier-everyone who is wanting amazing fireworks! Amy brought Daimen along for the trip!
We went and did a session at the San Diego Temple Tuesday morning before heading home! It is so beautiful inside! Roller Coasters are the best! This one is called the plunge! Do you see the 90 degree angle that thing falls at! We got drenched!
At Balboa Park in Downtown San Diego- Beautiful parks!
Ok- So I was going to post the San Diego trip earlier, but it wouldn't let me add pictures... So I got home on Tuesday, was home for one day (and played ultimate frisbee-one of my favorites) then I headed to Salt Lake Thursday morning and got back Saturday night.

I guess I am trying to squeeze in my traveling before school starts... especially since my stress level is way down now that June is over!

Salt Lake City, Utah

On my way to Salt Lake I visited my friend Amber Wardle, she used to teach 2nd grade at Bloomington. I miss her at the school. We did lunch and ended up riding horses with her friend. She is going to send me pics, then I'll post some then. I stayed with my Aunt Annette and her family. It was great to see them and catch up! I went up to see my friends Kathy and Andrew, they are moving to Flordia for school for 3 years, so I had to see them before they leave! I'm so excited for them, they will live right by Disney World! Now I'll have an excuse to go to Flordia in the next few years. Kathy and I just bummed around and went Shopping at IKEA- one of my favorites and we got Jamba Juice on the way, another one of my favorties! Smoothies and Shopping, a great combination!

Family Pictures

I love my Family! They are the best! For Christmas I got my parents family pictures because we haven't had a family picture taken for about 8 years. We took them in February (and yes I am a slacker because it is July and I am just posting it). Just thought I would share!

Manti Trip

A group of singles wards combined to take a day trip to Manti this last Saturday. It was so nice to take break from homework! We had 2 charter buses, we left early in the morning and stopped at Cove Fort on the way up. Then we did a temple session when we got to Manti, which was amazing! Then we ate dinner, walked around town-taking silly pictures. And went to the Manti Pageant that night, and then headed home! It was fun to play and be silly with the friends!

Bus Ride! Me and Nicole
Daimen and Amy- our crew was the crazy/loud bunch at the back of the bus!

Summertime...

Wow! It has been a busy couple of weeks! I had memorial day off before my Summer classes started for my Master's Degree. I am taking 4 classes this summer and 3 of them will be finished by July 1st. So I'm hoping just to survive the month of June! :) I have fit in the social too- that is a must :). This week I went wakeboarding with Amy and Jayson on Monday night! I love the Lake! We took our friends Amy Nef, Daimen, and Skyler with us. We had lots of fun! Tuesday, after class, I went up to Salt Lake to go to Marshall and Nicole's Wedding! Yeah! Both of which are my really good friends. Marshall and I have been friends since high school, and Nicole and I were roommates a few years ago when she lived in St. George. I am so happy for them. They got married in the Salt Lake Temple. I went to the temple and the luncheon and then I had to attend my class up in Salt Lake that day (which is broadcast). I stayed with my old roomie Cami, so it was fun to see her, but Wednesday night we both did homework-fun huh. Then I drove home on Thursday morning. It was a quick trip. But when I was driving home on Thrusday- there was SNOW in Beaver! It's June-- not December! So I had to take a pic to share with you! So that is a little taste of my craziness right now! Life is great, it just doesn't seem to slow down! :)
Marshall & Nicole
The wedding was great! It rained the whole day, kind of crazy! :)
SNOW in Beaver in June- amazing!
Me on the wakeboard! I love it! :)
