Random things this week!

So apparently Wal-Mart shopping carts like to eat toes! My friend, Nicole, and I went to grab a few things from the store the other night. I grabbed the shopping cart and hit my toe on the wheel! And man when you stubb your toe, it kills! So I thought oh no big deal! We walk about 10 feet into the store and I feel my foot in a puddle of blood on my flip flop! Apparently I didn't just stub my toe, the cart must have taken a bite out of my toe. It was gashed good. So we go to the bathroom, where the great photos were taken! Then Nicole went to the Service desk to ask for some band-aids. Thank goodness they were willing to share! So that is one of my random tales for the week!

Yesterday, one of my room mom's put on a fundraiser at Sportsman's Warehouse to raise money to improve our playground for wheel-chair access. So the teachers came during a specific hour for th mechanical bull riding contest! I would have to say it was my first time! The kids were just loving it! I was in the top 4 of the longest time, and then they did a drawing from those 4. I got drawn and won a gift certificate! The best part was watching the students cheer on their teachers! I thought I would share the proof of this experience, because I don't think you will get me on one again!

I love Vacations!

Wow! This week flew by! But I guess that is what happens when you are cruising to Mexico! The week was so much fun and I took tons of pics, but I will have to pick some of my favorites to share! :) We had 28 people in our group- family and family friends! We stopped in Cabo San Lucas first and we went 4-Wheeling on the sand dunes by the beach! Then we went on a boat ride in the ocean around some rock arches. In Matzatlan we saw cliff divers by the ocean, went shopping at the flea market, hung out at the beach, and some of our friends went parasailing. Then we stopped in Puerto Vallarta and we went up to the rainforest/jungle and went on 12 zip lines. The longest zip line was about 800 feet long! It was so cool to be soaring above the trees- it was almost like Tarzan! Besides our excursions, we ate more than we ever thought we could! I love pineapple, and I think I had it with about every meal! The ice cream machine by the pool was wonderful too! We went to a different entertainment show each night after dinner. The dancing til all hours of the night was great- it is very entertaining to watch drunk people dance! We loved the towel animals on the bed every night. Those are just a few highlights! It was a very nice and relaxing vacation- where everyone takes care of you!

Found Mouse! Hooray!

So I am so excited that we found our mouse! DEAD! :) My roommate and I were rearranging our couches and she suddenly screamed! So I was like "is it a mouse?" she said "yes" I said " Is it dead?" she said "Yes!" and I screamed with joy! I don't think my roommate was so excited to be the one to find it. I was so happy because I for sure didn't want find that critter in our pantry or cupboard or something! We hadn't started to smell anything, and I was starting to think he had gone outside and died, because we know he ate the poison. So apparently he at the posion and got caught in one of our traps! So I told my roommate to go and get a grocery sack- She told me she wouldn't hold it though! So she put it in the middle of the floor open. I got rubber gloves on and luckily I just had to pick up the trap- his let was attached. And then put it in the bag and threw it in our dumpster. Then I threw the rubber gloves away! :) Yuck! What an adventure, it lasted way too long! At least afer the first week I started to get some better sleep! And mission accomplished- he is out of our house and dead!

So I might not have a post for a few weeks since Sunday is usually my day to add anything to my blog. I am going on a cruise next week to the Mexican Riviera! A bunch of our family and friends are going- I am so excited! So I will have fun pictures when I get back! I do love Spring Break, especially when you can travel the world!
