San Deigo, California
3 of my 4 summer classes are finished! Yipee! A bunch of our friends had a big pool party last week to celebrate most of my stress being gone! :) Then I went on my first road trip of the summer. Everyone has asked me where I was planning on going this summer (because I am known for my world travels) and I would respond: homework! :( But my friend Amy wanted to go to San Diego for the 4th of July, so we planned a simple fun road trip (keep it cheap!) We stayed at her aunts house in Oceanside and just relaxed and had fun! We went to the beach on the 4th to see the fireworks (which her aunt said we were crazy because it is so crowded-but Amy wanted to go since that is what she did when she was little-fireworks on the beach). So we went to the beach for the day and went boogie boarding and then hung out by the pier until the fireworks. About a half an hour before the fireworks started, a thick thick fog set in! We didn't even get to see the fireworks, we couldn't even see the end of the pier, it was sad. I was sad for Amy because that is what she wanted to see! But we heard them really good! :) (not quite the same). I guess I'll have to see fireworks on the 24th of July. We went snorkeling in La Jolla, to Balboa park, and to Knotts Berry Farm. I love roller coasters! They are the best! We didn't even have to wait in lines, I loved it! We went to the San Diego Temple before we came home , it was awesome! I'll stop babbling now! I have a few other small trips planned in the next 2 weeks, so I'll update you later!
Amy and I at the pool party- we love playing pool ball!

Oceanside beach! Crazy lots of people! We were further down when we swam, this is by the pier-everyone who is wanting amazing fireworks!
Amy brought Daimen along for the trip!
We went and did a session at the San Diego Temple Tuesday morning before heading home! It is so beautiful inside!
Roller Coasters are the best! This one is called the plunge! Do you see the 90 degree angle that thing falls at! We got drenched!
At Balboa Park in Downtown San Diego- Beautiful parks!
Ok- So I was going to post the San Diego trip earlier, but it wouldn't let me add pictures... So I got home on Tuesday, was home for one day (and played ultimate frisbee-one of my favorites) then I headed to Salt Lake Thursday morning and got back Saturday night.
I guess I am trying to squeeze in my traveling before school starts... especially since my stress level is way down now that June is over!
Salt Lake City, Utah
On my way to Salt Lake I visited my friend Amber Wardle, she used to teach 2nd grade at Bloomington. I miss her at the school. We did lunch and ended up riding horses with her friend. She is going to send me pics, then I'll post some then. I stayed with my Aunt Annette and her family. It was great to see them and catch up! I went up to see my friends Kathy and Andrew, they are moving to Flordia for school for 3 years, so I had to see them before they leave! I'm so excited for them, they will live right by Disney World! Now I'll have an excuse to go to Flordia in the next few years. Kathy and I just bummed around and went Shopping at IKEA- one of my favorites and we got Jamba Juice on the way, another one of my favorties! Smoothies and Shopping, a great combination!
