Halloween Treats

When we were in California, my sis Julie, had a fun magazine that had recipes in it! There were these cute mummy cupcakes that I wanted to try for a dinner night we had with our friends. It wasn't quite working out, so I made spider webs instead! :) Then when I was up north with my friends we made halloween homemade oreos! Yummy!

Family Vacation

Our family takes an annual family vacation to Cali every October with our cousins and other family friends! I haven't been able to go with them the past 4 years because of work and school, so this year I decided to take a few days off work and go relax and play with the fam on the beach. We usually stay in Del Mar, but this year our family stayed in Oceanside with Andee and Steve. One of the days I went and played with our friends in Del Mar. We played Flag football, frisbee, swam in the ocean and dug a huge hole! I love fun days at the beach! And I for sure got more sun than I thought I would :)

We had an early celebration for Baby Ethan's first birthday! Andee and Julie were the masterminds behind the cake, but we all helped to make it! :) We made a cute sand castle! Tons of fun!

Marathon Weekend...

My cute sister Andee and her hubby Steve ran in the Marathon this weekend! It was fun to have the family waiting at the finish line! They both did great and we have had a fun family filled weekend!

Out with the Old...

And in with the NEW!

So our old washer and dryer we have had since my roomies and I have lived in our apartment (just over a year) have been great to us--- sometimes entertaining, but great! The old washer was yellow --- I'm not sure how old-- and when her legs were off she would shake and pretty much make an earth quake (thus the entertainment). It started leaking a few weeks ago and I decided that instead of fixing such an old appliance, that I would check out some new ones. Boulevard was having their awesome teacher sale over Labor Day weekend, so I decided to get these ones-- I got a really awesome deal!

I also kind of feel like more of an adult because I am buying major appliances :)

Bowling with the Friends

It was so nice to have a super long weekend for Labor day. On monday night a group of our friends went bowling! It was such a fun group. I got second place with the whole group! :) It is so fun to have such awesome friends!

An Adventure

Last weekend, the Hansen's were kind enough to take me to the Lake with them! I just love going to the lake! It is one of my most favorite summer activities. Another teacher that teaches 1st grade with me has a classroom mascot "Lily T. Frog" and she got to go on little adventures with all of the teachers this past week, so I took her to the lake. And besides just riding on the boat and soaking up the sun, she even got to surf with Jayson! It was hilarious! :) What a fun weekend with great friends! :)

Back to School

So life has been a little busy as it is Back to School time! :) Here are a few pictures I took at back to school night. This is my first grade team, just love them! We are going to have a great year together. We moved hallways so this is my new classroom... it was hard to move everything but good to clean all my junk out after collecting for 4 years. This is my 5th year teaching--- wow how time flies. It has been great to just focus on work and not worry about homework when I get home! I have a great class this year! I think through all my years I have always been blessed with sweet children and families! :) I just love my job--really!
